Why We're Here
Schmitt Woodland Hills exists for one reason: to provide compassionate care and community for seniors who deserve dignity, belonging, and purpose in every stage of life. We’re grounded in the faith-based values of service and stewardship that inspired our founding as part of the Health & Welfare Ministry of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church—one of 14 such ministries serving people of all faiths and races across Wisconsin.
Giving Back
We’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit. There are no owners, shareholders, or investors taking a cut. Every dollar we receive goes directly toward caring for our residents and supporting our team. We answer to an all-volunteer Board of Directors committed to our mission, not to a bottom line.
Our Commitment
That commitment to serve all people—regardless of faith—led us to restructure from Schmitt Methodist Home to Schmitt Woodland Hills, expanding our doors while keeping our values intact. We sustain our mission through the income from our services and the generosity of private gifts. Any operating surplus doesn’t disappear into corporate pockets; it goes right back into better care, new programs, and staff excellence.
